Montpelier Pitching Thwarts The Bats Of The Stryker Lady Panthers On May 10th

STRYKER – Lauren Dye and Wendy Duchene combined to give up 10 hits, but they slammed the door when they needed to in pitching the Montpelier Lady Locos to a 5-0 win over Stryker on may 10.[emember_protected custom_msg=”Full content protected for online subscribers. Dye went 4 innings and allowed 4 hits while fanning 3. Duchene put in 3 innings of work, allowing 6 hits and striking out 4.

Lesley Clark and Haley Suffel each had a single and a double for Montpelier. Wendy Duchene had 3 singles, Sydney Houk, Christy Duchene and Christina Prather had a pair of base hits apiece, and Dye and Marinna Mercer each singled.

Conner Varner went the route for Stryker, allowing 5 runs on 15 hits and a walk, fanning 4.

Miranda Pegorch had a pair of doubles, Tasha Pegorch and Tori Suffel had two singles apiece, and Varner, Katie Yoder, Connor Sullivan and Hannah Doehrmann each had a single.[/emember_protected]
