Montpelier Village Council Approves Sale Of Two Police Cruisers

As a part of the Montpelier Village Council meeting held on May 10, 2021, Council heard annual reports from Water Treatment Supervisor, Thane Apt and Montpelier Park and Red Director, Sandy Gordon.

Mr. Conrad Beck from Beck Insurance also spoke with council regarding their renewal of Property and Liability Insurance through the Ohio Plan.
Council voted to approve:

-agenda for the meeting and the minutes from the April 26 meeting, as well as Financial reports

-Third and Final Readings of Resolution 1312 Updating Supervisory Employee Compensation and Resolution 1313 Updating hourly employee compensation

-Suspension of rules and passage of Resolution 1316 Property and Liability Insurance Renewal with Ohio Plan


-Second Reading of Ordinance 2255 Accepting a Portion of the Wabash Cannonball Trail from CR 13 to CR 17 from NORTA (Northwest Ohio Rails to Trails)

-Motion to approve the sale of two police cruisers to the Village of East Canton in the amount of $500 per cruiser

-Motion to Accept and award Bid to Bryan Excavating, LLC in the amount of $96,680 for the Wabash Cannonball Trail Connector


Council also heard and accepted the Income Tax Report and the Village Manager’s report before entering Executive Session to discuss Acquisition of Property. With no action taken, the meeting adjourned.
