Nina J. Zuver, 84, of Alvordton passed away Wednesday afternoon at Evergreen Manor Nursing Home in Montpelier. She was born on July 1, 1935 in Madison Township to William and Myrtle L. (Taylor) Kosier. Nina attended Kunkle High School. She married Ray “Pevine” Zuver and he preceded her in death in 2012.
Nina retired from Scott-Port-A-Fold in Archbold. She loved her cat “Murphy”, the Montpelier Senior Center and garage sales. She was a member of the Kunkle Fire Department Woman’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Cindy J. Zuver of West Unity, Melody (John) Rathke of Montpelier, Ray “Coon” (Jennifer) Zuver of Alvordton and Gene (Scott) Zuver of Sacramento, California; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Parks of Montpelier and Pauline “Skip” Goble of Pioneer.
Nina was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, son Allen Zuver, sisters Betty Zuver and Edna Cline, brothers Marshall, Russell, Carson and Darold Kosier.
Nina will be laid to rest at a private graveside service at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier. Memorial contributions may be given to Montpelier Senior Center.
