Norma Casper (1936-2018)

Norma J. Casper, 82 of Montpelier passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday October 13, 2018.

She was born May 19, 1936 in Montpelier, Ohio to Paul and Faye “Nana” (Cramer) Snyder. She was a 1954 Montpelier High School graduate.  Norma was married to Eldon L. Casper and he preceded her in death on October 4, 2003.  

Norma retired from Robinair after working there for over thirty years.  She was a member and former deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Montpelier.  Playing euchre at her bi- monthly card club was one of Norma’s favorite enjoyments.  And there was no doubt that she had a great love for Elvis Presley.


Surviving Norma are her four children: Daniel L. Casper of Montpelier, David (Traci) Casper of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Todd (Elizabeth) Casper of Noblesville, Indiana and Lori (Kirk) Wanstedt of Bryan; five grandchildren: Brant Hall, Ally Wanstedt, Erica Carter, David Casper II and Anndraya Casper; six great grandchildren; two sisters: Joanne Bunce and Carolyn Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and a daughter, Janice LorraineCasper.

Visitation for Norma will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Thompson-Geesey Funeral Home on Empire Street in Montpelier. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev David Tilly to officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First Presbyterian Church.  Condolences can be left at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
