The North Central High School Drama Club presented the “Disney’s Descendants: The Musical” production this past week. The musical was held in the North Central High School Auditeria.
Performances for the musical were held on April 25th and April 26th at 8:00 p.m., with an additional showing on April 28th at 7:00 p.m.
The North Central High School Drama Club has been putting on spring musicals for 24 years. Over the years, the program has grown, giving students the opportunity to showcase their talents on stage and behind the scenes. The club’s productions are supported by staff, parents, and community members who help bring each show to life.
“Disney’s Descendants: The Musical” follows the story of the children of Disney’s most infamous villains, who have been banished to the Isle of the Lost.
When they are given the opportunity to leave the island and attend Auradon Prep, they must choose between following in their parents’ wicked footsteps or embracing a new way of life.
Audience members are told the story of Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos as they navigate their new surroundings, meet the children of famous Disney heroes, and decide their own futures.
The musical was performed very well, with energetic singing and acting by the cast. Set design and technical work were also handled with care, helping to round out this production nicely.
Congratulations to everyone involved with the North Central High School Drama Club.
