Anthony Burnett, School Board President called the meeting to order. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call showed Kati Burt absent.
Next up, the Board heard from the public. Mr. Rob Taylor presented the Board with the decision to continue free breakfasts for the students, the Board approved.
Next up, Mrs. Amanda Blohm spoke to the Board about the climate at school between the teachers and students. The lack of discipline is causing staff to feel unsafe mentally and physically and prevents them from effectively doing their job.
Blohm questioned the Board on what they have been doing to improve the conditions at school since her last appearance and the Board discussed different measures they are taking.
Next up, the Board moved into executive session to discuss a complaint made against a public employee. The Board invited Kent Hutchison as well as Mr. Mickey, Dr. Rosevink, and Kim Huctchison to attend the executive session. Motion was made by Tim Livengood, Board member to move into executive session.
Next up, the Board heard from the Treasurer, Mr. Smeltzer. The Board approved Scholarships for the Class of 2022, and property, liability, auto and violence insurance.
Next up, Mr. Hanak, Superintendent, presented the Board with the Enrollment numbers for the year- 607.
Hanak discussed the transfer assignments of Cynthia Kizer from grade 2 Instructor to Elementary Intervention Instructor, Kendra Ely from Elementary Intervention Instructor to grade 3, transfer assignment of Lori Masters from Preschool to grade 2.
Next up, the motion was approved the North Central Local School District Technology Plan as a foundation for the next five years of general technology maintenance, upgrade and development.
Next the Board approved the motion of the Master Negotiation Agreement between North Central Board of Education and the North Central Education Association from July 1, 2022 to June 20, 2025.
Next, the Board approved the motion to increase the Athletic Ticket Prices for 2022-2023 season.
Next, the Board approved Employment contracts, contract with the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention Training and Rehabilitation Center, handbook for 2022-2023 school year and the disposal of textbooks.
Next, the Board approved the supplemental contract for Doug Faler as Head Varsity Track Coach, Joe Fidler as the Head Varsity Softball Coach, and Eric Smeltzer for the Head Varsity Baseball Coach.
Next up, the Board entered into executive session to discuss personnel, employment and negotiations.
