North Central’s Turner, Reeves Combine For No Hit Perfect Game Over Fayette Eagles

PIONEER: April 17– The combination of North Central pitching from the mound behind Brandon Turner and Jordan Reeves at home aligned for a prefect no-hit game over Fayette on April 17.

On the mound for the Eagles, Branden Turner opened the game, going 3 full innings, striking out 6 batters while allowing no walks. With the win to his credit, Turner has now thrown for back-to-back shutouts for North Central. Jordan Reeves came into the game with the Eagles up 10-0 at the top of the 4th, and threw for perfection the remainder of the way, setting down three batters, giving up no walks for the final 2 innings as the North Central Eagles closed the game out in the 5th at 11-0. Credit to North Central’s effort in the field for the support and effort in walking off the field with the perfect game.

Offensively for North Central, Dylan Hutchinson led the way with a huge afternoon, bringing in 3 RBI’s on the day behind a home run and a single. Colton Pilmore and Clayton Ferguson also had big bats in the game, with Pilmore connecting for 3 singles resulting in 2 RBI’s, while Ferguson connected on a single driving in 2 runs. Josh Sawyer smacked out 2 singles with an RBI, while Reeves and Jordan Bailey each drove in a ruin off of singles. Turner also connected for a trip to 1st in the game to round out the offense for North Central.


In the loss for Fayette, Joel Smith went 2 and 2/3s to open up, allowing 9 hits and 10 runs, while Casen Burkholder closed the game out, giving up 2 hits and a run in the loss for the Eagles.

The victory moves North Central to 2-1 in the BBC and 5-3 on the season. Fayette dropped to 0-4 in the BBC, and 0-4 on the season.
