PRESS RELEASE – State Wildlife Officer Adam Stachler, assigned to Fulton County, received a Turn In a Poacher (TIP) call about an individual who killed a Canada goose out of season.
Officer Stachler identified a suspect and determined the individual had shot the goose with an unlawful implement outside of the waterfowl hunting season. Two citations were issued, and the suspect was ordered to pay $150 in fines plus court costs.
The firearm was forfeited to the Ohio Division of Wildlife. If you notice suspicious or illegal wildlife activity, report it anonymously to TIP at 1-800-POACHER (1-800-762-2437).
