As part of the meeting, the Board approved Emeritus status for Dr. Melissa Faber and Dr. Larry Zachrich.

EMERITUS STATUS
Northwest State Community College enacted an Emeritus policy in 2013 to recognize individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to the College and the community.

At the Board meeting, both Dr. Melissa Faber and Dr. Larry Zachrich were approved for Emeritus status, and both will be honored at a special dinner prior to Fall Commencement on December 16th.

Dr. Faber retired in 2024 after serving as Faculty-Psychology in the Arts & Sciences division, in a career dating back to 1998. Faber also used her expertise for assessment and other key initiatives.

Dr. Zachrich retired in 2023, most recently serving as an Agency Coordinator and Student Advisor through Custom Training Solutions. Zachrich had also served as a faculty and a dean, among other positions at the College, dating back to 1978.
