ARCHBOLD (February 6, 2026) – Trailing 23-16 at halftime, Morgan Harris put the Streaks on his back by scoring 12 of his team-high 15 points in the second half as Archbold rallied for the win to stay tied for first in the NWOAL.
After the teams exchanged treys to open the scoring, Wauseon engineered a 9-0 run to take the early lead.
Buckets by Collin Mennetti and Jack Alstaetter, two free throws from Riley Riegsecker, and Xzavier Molina’s second triple of the quarter helped the Indians grow their lead to 12-3.
Archbold responded with a bucket inside, and Morgan Harris buried a triple just before the horn to trim the Wauseon lead to 12-8.
Wauseon opened the second with another 9-0 spurt as Riegsecker got his first two field goals of the night, Alstaetter scored on a breakaway, and Riegsecker drilled a three to make it 21-8.
A driving layup by Riegsecker would give the Indians their largest lead of the night at 23-9 before Archbold closed the half with six unanswered points.
Wyatt Gericke hit a trey with 1:10 to go until halftime and then scored on a back-door cut before Aranjer Krieger hit a pullup jumper in the lane to trim the deficit to 23-16.
Down 30-23 nearing the end of the third, Archbold would put together a scoring run to take the lead for good.

Short would give Archbold the lead with a 1-for-2 trip to the charity stripe and Gericke ended the quarter with a three-pointer from the top of the key for a 34-30 Archbold lead.
Riegsecker scored the first five points of the fourth for the Indians and Short scored for Archbold to keep the Streaks in front 37-36.
Harris added another long ball and Jarret Rufenacht scored inside for Archbold, but Brody Shehorn scored down low for the Indians and Riegsecker was 3-for-3 at the line to cut the lead to 42-41 with 1:28 left.
Gericke scored on a spin move in the lane and Molina added a layup on a baseline drive to make it 44-43, with 36.2 seconds left.

Harris was then fouled on a move to the hoop and subsequently hit two free throws to give the Bluestreaks a 47-45 lead with 7.7 left.
Wauseon was forced to call a timeout after Riegsecker dribbled the ball off his foot in the backcourt, leaving the Indians with just 1.9 to work with and needing to go the length of the floor.
After the inbound pass to midcourt, Archbold deflected the next pass as time expired.
