OWL stands for Outstanding Women Leaders. This is a club for 7th & 8th grade girls that meets every other Wednesday and encourages them to use leadership skills in whatever career path they choose. There are about 50-60 girls in the club. Each week the girls meet and listen to a speaker from our own community who has done something that makes them an Outstanding Woman Leader. On September 23rd Laura Juarez visited to talk about leadership. She told the girls that a strong leader pursues a dream so passionately that they are willing to take risks and fail, if necessary, as many times as it takes for them to succeed.
