The Fayette Village Council held their meeting on Wednesday, October 13th. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. followed by a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll call followed after with all present. Council then moved to approve minutes from the September 22nd meeting as well as the minutes from the public works meeting, finance committee meeting and governmental affairs meeting.
With no visitor’s present and nothing to be presented from the Mayor, council moved to hear a report from the Village Administrator.
Computer repairs and replacements have been taking place. Replacement of the server has been completed and new desktops and laptops have begun to get rolled out. There are several other updates to be done at other offices.
The State of Ohio Infrastructure grant had previously committed to give a response back for applications within 45 days. That date has come and gone so a follow up was sent to the state.
The 2020 Federal Census data has come in and it shows the Village is up to a population of 1,305 which is an increase of close to 100 people.
Preparations are being done for the EPA water survey and the OEPA sanitary survey. A motion was then made to accept the Administrators report which passed.
Payment of the bills and upcoming agenda items were then discussed in the VFO’s report. A motion was then made to approve the VFO’s report which passed followed by a motion to pay the bills as read. With no communications, ordinances or resolutions, council moved on to legislative actions.
A motion was made and approved to waive any hearing before the Fulton County Budget Commission regarding apportionment of the Undivided Local Government Fund and agree to the Fulton County Budget Commission alternate plan of apportionment and to accept the sum of $30,885.14 for the undivided local government fund.
Next, a motion was made and approved to set the Trick-Or-Treat date on Saturday, October 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. With no old or new busines to discuss, council moved to adjourn at 6:13 p.m.
