As a part of the morning’s work on Thursday, June 10, 2021, the Fulton County Commissioners voted to approve the following items:
-Minutes from June 8 and Agenda as presented
-Increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments
-Resolution 2021-420 Authorize Board President to sign Certification of Exempt projects for Fulton County Senior Center Grant
-Resolution 421 Approve contract 2021-65 with Urethane Foam Specialties, LTD for 2021 County Bridge Painting Program on behalf of Fulton County Engineer
-Resolution 422 Approve contract 2021-66 with Lake Erie Construction Co. for Various Fulton County Guardrail replacement project on behalf of Fulton County Engineer
-Resolution 423 Authorize advertisement for Job and Family Services (JFS) Employment Opportunity
-Resolution 424 Accept recommendation of Loss Control Coordinator
-Resolution 425 Approve Personnel request on behalf of JFS and Authorize Advertisement for Employment Opportunity
-Purchase orders and travel requests
The Commissioners also reviewed the weekly Dog Warden reports for periods ending May 29 and June 5, 2021, Treasurer to Auditor Balancing record, Amended Certificate of Estimated Resources and Certificate of Non-compliance. With no other business the meeting adjourned.
The commissioners met at 2:00 for a Joint Ditch Viewing of Swancreek Ditch Petition and at 3:30 for a Joint Ditch viewing of Tenmile Ditch Petition.
The Tuesday morning meeting, held on June 15, 2021 saw the commissioners voting on about the same number of items, with two no votes during the session. Items approved included:
-Minutes from June 10, 2021 and agenda as presented
-Payment of bills
-Increase and transfer of appropriations for various departments
-Resolution 431 to approve Inter County transfer of Funds – JFS
-Resolution 432 Reject all Bids for Ditch 2141-Myers and Set Date and Time for New Hearing: July 13, 2021 11:15
-Resolution 433 Amendment to Sub Grant Agreement with Area 7/Greater Ohio Workforce Board for PY 2020-2023 (approved unanimously with Roll Call vote)
-Resolutions 434 & 435 were to Execute Satisfactions of mortgages for CHIP program
-Resolution 436 Contract 2021-69 with Arcadis U.S. for Fulton County Water Booster Pumping Station upgrade Engineering Services
-Resolutions 437 & 438 were to Approve Personnel on behalf of JFS ( Commissioner Jon Rupp voted no for both during the roll call votes, both resolutions passed)
-Purchase orders and travel requests
Items reviewed included May 2021 Investment report and the Fulton County Engineers Recommendation for Ditch 2141-Myers.
Following the passage of resolutions, the Commissioners met with Matt Gilroy, Director of Economic Development and Harold Stickley, Airport Board President, for discussion on the airport and Economic development.
Mr. Gilroy brought up the topic of renting airport hangers. Discussion was held concerning how much rent to charge, how it should be divided between the county and the airport authority and the repairs needed to the hangers.
The Commissioners agreed they would like more time to consider the information and what they want to do with this situation.

Gilroy also gave an update on Senate Bill 52 and informed the commissioners that the Rotary is still considering proposals for the old Raquet Ball Club building.
