(Paid Content) Stryker School Board Informed Staff Will Receive COVID Vaccinations On February 12th

At a 4 p.m. meeting held on Monday, February 8, 2021, Stryker School Board approved the agenda for the meeting and the minutes from the January 11, 2021 Organizational and Regular meetings.

Treasurer Jill Peters reported that the General Fund cash balance for January was $7,088,517.87, total revenue was $535,046.79 and total expenses were $483,326.20.

She recommended the Board accept a donation of $578.92 from Monroe Muffler/Brake and Service for the Stryker Girls Basketball account. The board approved the report and recommendation.

Beth Morr, Dean of Students shared that the week of February 8 was designated to be Spirit Week. Other important dates are March 9th when the Mobile Dentist will be at the school, and March 26th for grade card distribution.


The report given by Principal Dave Schultz included:

•January Student of the Month is Devon Miller for the character trait of Tolerance, and was sponsored by Subway

•February 12th there will be a 2 hour delay scheduled for staff COVID vaccinations


•February 13 Homecoming Festivities at 5:30 prior to BBK game vs. MVCD

•February 15 NO SCHOOL for President’s Day

•February 16 AIR Test Results, Gov’t Test and Make-ups

•February 23 ACT test date for All Juniors


•March 9 Mobile Dentist

•March 10 Spring Sports Pictures at 3:30

•March 11 National Honor Society induction at 7 pm

•March 12 Tentative Second COVID vaccination day, with a possible 2 hour delay

•March 15 – 19 Spring Break

The board voted to approve Superintendent Nate Johnson’s recommendation for a Supplemental Contract for the 2020-21 School year for Megan DeGroff as Track Assistant. The next regular scheduled BOE meeting is March 29, 2021.
