Pauline Lambert (1931-2022)

Pauline A. Lambert, age 91, of Delta, peacefully passed away Tuesday night, October 26, 2022 at Fairlawn Haven in Archbold.

She was born in Liberty Center on July 13, 1931 to James Kessler and Sadie (Whitmire) Kessler.

Pauline graduated from Liberty Center High School and married Raymond G. Lambert on June 6, 1949.

A homemaker throughout her life, she cared for their six children and her loving husband for 72 years until his passing on September 20, 2021.


Pauline attended Lyons Christian Church and most recently was an active member of Mountain of Praise Church in Delta; where she helped with fundraisers and other church events.

Pauline also enjoyed cooking, canning and sewing of which she was known for her quilts for new born babies and pillows.

She is survived by her children, Doyle (Patti) Lambert of West Unity; Craig Lambert of Burleson, Texas; Sandra Leathers of Archbold; son-in-law, Phillip Orner; son-in-law, David Kinsman; sister-in-law, Ula Kessler; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.


In addition to her husband, Raymond Lambert, Pauline was preceded in death by her daughters, Deborah McCullough; Brenda Kinsman; Pamela Orner; brothers, Kenneth, Lawrence, Melvin, Marion and Harold Kessler; sisters, Mildred Ames, Bernice Moore, Margaret Kessler and Grace Seymour and great grandson, Steven Ross Shaffer.

Friends and family will be received at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Betty Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Winameg Cemetery in Delta.
