Pedestrian/Train Accident In Swanton Claims Life Of Michigan Man

On November 15, 2023 at approximately 12:56 a.m., the Swanton Police Department responded to the area of Main Street and Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks in response to a pedestrian/train accident.

Upon arrival, officers on scene discovered a male pedestrian deceased on the Norfolk Southern tracks. The male pedestrian was identified as Turner Royster (age 39), of Clinton Township, Michigan was pronounced dead at the scene by Swanton EMS. Next of kin have been identified.
