PETTISVILLE – It was just one of those nights for the Pettisville Blackbirds against Archbold on December 22. The Birds shot 33 percent from up close, while Archbold hit at 58 percent. Beyond the arch, Pettisville was good for 30 percent and Archbold converted on 50. The “can’t hit…can’t miss” combination spelled out a 65-40 defeat for the hometown boys.
Dominic Frey led the 3-3/2-0 Battling Birds with 8 points, while David Reyes had 7 points and Tanner Rufenacht and Kurt Siegel had 6 points apiece. Forest Stuckey finished with 5 points, Austin Dykstra 4, and Korben Rychener and Jacob Valdez each had 2 points.
