The Pettisville Board of Education held its meeting on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. With no guests present wishing to address the board, members moved into the consent agenda.
Approved items included the minutes from the February meeting, acceptance of the financial reports as presented by the treasurer, and approval of payment of the bills as submitted.
The board also approved the OBI agreement with the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center and participation in the Electricity Purchase Program through the Ohio Schools Council.
Several personnel and activity-related items were also approved as part of the consent agenda. Volunteer coaches were approved for the summer recreation baseball and softball programs.
Baseball coaches included Curtis Miller and Eric Wagler for third grade, Jason Waldvogel, Chad Aeschliman, and Tyler Keckley for fourth grade, Michael Burkholder and Nick Bratton for fifth grade, and Steve Hastings and Ryan Wyse for sixth grade.
For softball, approved volunteer coaches included Sarah Frankenfield and Kate Burkholder for third grade, Lacee Miller and Steve Burkholder for fourth grade, Katie Jimenez and Jess Dunlap for fifth grade, and McCrae Kidston for sixth grade. The board also approved Caitlyn Grieser as a volunteer track coach and Kyleigh Cadwell as a long-term substitute cook for the 2025 to 2026 school year.
The board next approved several policy updates addressing entrance requirements, grading, budget preparation, purchasing and billing, procurement of federal grants and funds, use of credit cards, district tax exempt services, vendor relations, and artificial intelligence.

The meeting continued with reports, including administrator reports from Elementary Principal Jason Waldvogel and Junior High and High School Principal Adam Wagner. Treasurer Chris Lee then presented the treasurer report.
During that portion of the meeting, board members approved authorizing the spending of principal funds in the Meister Fund.
They also approved a contract for the remainder of the 2025 to 2026 school year and a one-year contract for the 2026 to 2027 school year for Randi Bethel to serve as assistant treasurer.
Superintendent Josh Clark then presented the superintendent report. During this portion, the board approved Ashley Keaton for a one-year contract as a junior high and high school science teacher for the 2026 to 2027 school year.
The board also approved Matthew Steele for a one-year contract as a kindergarten through 12th grade vocal music teacher for the 2026 to 2027 school year and Lexie Semer for a one-year contract as a speech-language pathologist for the 2026 to 2027 school year.
With no other items to attend to, the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be held on Monday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m.
