(September 22nd, 2014)-PETTISVILLE: Playing each other for the second of three times, Pettisville took its turn as host to Emmanuel Christian. Much like their first encounter, the Blackbirds won by a large margin, taking the match 8-2.
Scoring began early for Pettisville, as Felipe Chavez took a pass from teammate Mitchell Avina and put the ball through the Emmanuel net seven minutes into the first period. Another eight minutes in, and Chavez made a second goal. Also scoring in the first half were Zach Morrison, Bekah, Liechty, and Avina himself, giving Pettisville a 5-1 lead.
Yoder Detric, Brett Coopshaw, and Birch Baer provided the second half scoring, making the final score 8-2. Coopshaw and Detric each made two assists on the match, with Graeme Jacoby and Avina assisting scorers once apiece.
The victory propels the Blackbirds to a 6-1-1 record.
