Pettisville Girls Finish Third, Boys Sixth At Edgerton Invitational

(September 27th, 2014)-EDGERTON: Amid thirteen teams to show up for the Edgerton Invitational on Saturday, Pettisville stood out. The Lady Blackbirds claimed third place at the event, while their male counterparts staked sixth place.

Alexa Leppelmeier was the third runner overall to cross the finish line with a time of 20:28. The Lady Blackbirds also took sixth place thanks to Nichole Foor clocking in at 21:07. Elizabeth Miller finished in seventeenth place for Pettisville, running a 22:26.

Also competing in the girls heat, Hilltop took sixth place as a team. Edon was right behind them at seventh place. Fayette locked down eighth place. Montpelier earned a tenth place finish, while North Central and Stryker took down eleventh and twelfth place, respectively.


Kyle Lantz earned a sixth place finish with a time of 17:30. Jacob Hauter took tenth place at 17:45. Ben Gray turned in a time of 19:12 for the Blackbirds.

Fayette took second place in the boys heat. Montpelier finished in eighth place. Edon earned a ninth place finish. North Central was the tenth team in scoring. Hilltop and Stryker came in eleventh and twelfth place, respectively.
