(September 29th, 2014)- Both the Seventh and Eighth Grade girls of Pettisville were unable to steal a win away from the neighboring Blue Streaks. Each match ended in a straight set victory for Archbold, despite a valiant showing by the Lady Blackbirds.

Dropping to 8-4 on the season, the Eighth Grade Blackbird girls just couldn’t get things going against Archbold. The Lady Blue Streaks took control right away, as Pettisville dropped game 1 13-25. Unable to recover, they lost game 2 as well, 16-25.

The first game of the Seventh Grade game played out quite similarly to the Eighth Grade one, with Pettisville losing the set 13-25. In a herculean effort, however, the Lady Blackbirds came back strong in game 2, taking the Blue Streaks to their very limits. It wasn’t enough, though, as the girls from Pettisville were defeated by the narrowest of margins 26-28.

The Pettisville Seventh Grade Squad is now 6-6 for the year.
