Treasurer Chris Lee presented his report and asked for the approval of several housekeeping items that are typically addressed during this time of year.  The Board approved the following:

– FY23 appropriation modifications and the accompanying Certificate of Resources as attached.

– FY24 Temporary Appropriations and Revenues at 60% of FY23 expenditures and revenues.

– An advance of $17,406.25 from the General Fund (001-0000) to the Turbine Fund (001-916A) effective 7/1/2023.  Lee clarified that this transaction is to cover the bond payment for the turbine.

– Authority to make any other appropriation modifications and adjustments necessary to close the fiscal year and report those at the next regular meeting.

The treasurer also requested the Board to approve SORSA as the liability, fleet, and property insurance carrier for FY2024 at $42,252 which is $1,425 less than last year’s cost to the district.  The Board approved Lee’s request.

Superintendent Clark began his report by noting that the first few weeks of June prove interesting with closing out the previous year and simultaneously getting everything ready for the next…”It’s kind of a mix of tear down, build up.”

He added that there are also a lot of exciting things to look forward to with new teachers excited to get into their new rooms.

Clark also noted that administrators have been collaborating to come up with a unified plan for professional development for the upcoming year.

Clark then spoke on a resolution before the board that would authorize the purchase of one eight-four passenger, Type D school bus (with lift) chassis and bodies from the bids received through the Ohio Schools Council. The board approved the resolution.

With no further items, the meeting was adjourned. The next Pettisville School Board meeting will be held on Monday, July 10, at 8:00 pm in the Conference Room at the school.
