(June 10th, 2015) – PETTISVILLE: Seeking out redemption after allowing the first game of a double header with the Lady Tigers of Liberty Center slip out of the grasp of their talons, the Blackbirds of Pettisville took to the field in the second game of the evening with determination written across their faces. Yet, the Fulton County hostesses weren’t ready for the Liberty Center defense, as the Tigers refused Pettisville a single run throughout the contest.
Struggling defensively as well, the Blackbird girls found it difficult to slow down the Lady Tiger assault. Evening out their scoring throughout the game, Liberty Center pulled away from Pettisville gradually over the course of the contest.
The Blackbirds fell to the Tigers 7-0.
Quickly becoming one of their more consistent performers, Jasmyn Barton led the way for the Pettisville bats. Garnering a pair of hits, she was able to earn a single and a double in the loss.
