Students in grades five through eight are invited to come to the Pioneer Branch Library for “Flanagan Frenzy” on Tuesdays in November from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. “Flanagan Frenzy” is an interactive program designed to celebrate author John Flanagan’s bestselling series: Ranger’s Apprentice and Brotherband Chronicles.
Ranger’s Apprentice is a series of fantasy novels written by Australian author John Flanagan. The series follows the adventures of Will, an orphan who is taken as an apprentice Ranger, as he strives to keep the Kingdom of Araluen safe from invaders, traitors, and threats. The Brotherband Chronicles is a follow up series to Ranger’s Apprentice and is about a group of young Skandian boys with a wide range of talents.
Dates and activities planned for the series at the Pioneer Library are as follows:
• November 6: Introduction Day. Characters within the series will be introduced and information gained through icebreaker games.
• November 13: Role play Game Day. Students will play a role play board game. There will be treacherous feats to overcome throughout this immersive game. Prizes will be awarded.
