Pulaski Township Trustees met in a regular session on Tuesday, June 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the township office.

Trustees in attendance were Tom Saul and Terry Witte with Scott Noble being absent. Also, Fiscal Officer Deanne Batterson, Road Supervisor Steven Hobeck, and Zoning Inspector Todd Burkholder were present.

Batterson informed the trustees the township had received an insurance check from Public Entity Risk Services of Ohio for $42,895 which will be used towards replacing the township office roof damaged recently from severe storms. She added they took out $1,000 for the township’s deductible.

Regarding the roof replacement, Witte met with the contractor to sign the contract on Wednesday, June 10 and met with the engineers inspecting the trusses on the roof later that same day.

Witte will also meet with County Engineer Todd Roth to do a punch list on County Road 15.75. Batterson also reported that the township’s full state audit has been completed. It resulted in a clean audit for 2025.

In other financial matters, Batterson had to readjust the township’s budget after she had mailed out a check to Morton Salt in December 2025. Unfortunately, the check got lost in transit.

Batterson was informed by Noble beforehand that the township is not filing an application for a road sign grant this year and will wait to apply in 2027.

In his zoning inspector’s report, Burkholder received a $100 zoning application payment from Christian Builders of Montpelier for construction of a new porch for a township resident.

Burkholder also reported that he sent out a certified letter dated June 6 to a township resident who hadn’t responded to his original letter regarding a zoning issue.

He also reminded the trustees of a rezoning hearing to be held on Tuesday, June 23 prior to the regular meeting.

Hobeck reported the township will be receiving an invoice from Truland Equipment for the purchase of blades for the boom mower.

Next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:30 p.m.
