Something heavy!

CHP Home Care & Hospice will conduct its annual Rays of Hope Camp, Aug. 17-18, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily at Camp Palmer in Fayette. The camp is for children and youth (ages 6-17) from throughout the area, who have recently lost a loved one and helps them gain support, develop friendships and have a better understanding of the grief process. Most importantly, Rays of Hope Camp provides an environment where kids can express feelings of loss among others their age with similar experiences. There are many fun activities for participants like swimming, rock wall climbing, team-building, crafts, games, music, and more. There is no cost to families for their children to attend, but all participants must be pre-registered by Aug. 12 by calling Rebecca Short at (419) 445-5128 or (419) 633-7590. Information and registration form is also posted at www.comhealthpro.org on the events page.
