Richard M. Trejo

Richard M. TrejoRichard M. Trejo, age 79, of Wauseon, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Swanton Valley Health Care. Prior to his retirement he had worked at Hill Manufacturing in Wauseon for 12 years. He had also worked at the former Sheller-Globe in Wauseon for 17 years, Sauder Woodworking in Archbold and Jeep Corporation, in Toledo.

Richard was born in Crystal City, Texas on October 3, 1936, the son of Juan and Josephine (Martinez) Trejo. On November 13, 1964 he married Carolina Casas, and she preceded him in death on August 12, 2015. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved spending time with all of his family, having cookouts and spending time outdoors.

Surviving are his children, Raymond Ramirez, Sylvia Trejo, Rachel (Joe Perez) Trejo, Elena (Doug) Kutzli and John (Stephanie) Trejo, all of Wauseon; grandchildren, Jordan Stickley of Wauseon, Noah Stickley of Wauseon, Chelsea Rockey of Bryan, Joseph Perez of Wauseon, Jake Trejo of Wauseon, and Madison Trejo of Wauseon; and siblings, Roger Trejo of Wauseon and Azucena Trejo Guerrero of Wauseon.

Visitation for Richard will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 17, 2016, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Matthew Sauder, officiating. Interment will follow in the Pettisville Cemetery, where Military Rites will be accorded by the Fulton County Honor Guard.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Parkinson’s Foundation, the American Diabetes Association or Wauseon Fire Department. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
