Robert L. Ford, 86, of Waldron passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family late Saturday evening on September 15, 2018, under the care of Hospice.
He was born July 8, 1932, in Sand Creek, Michigan to Marion E. and Thelma M. (Watson) Ford. He married Mary Lou Uhler on December 27, 1952, in Morenci, MI and she survives.
Bob was previously employed at Waldron Industries for over 33 years and graduated from Fayette High School Class of 1950. He also served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Fayette Methodist Church. His hobbies included cross word puzzles, farming, especially driving his 1020 tractor.
Surviving Bob besides his wife, Mary Lou of 65 years are three daughters, Pamela (David) Hahn of Waldron, MI, Sandra (Douglas) Bowers of Saline, MI and Cheryl (Rick) Moore of Osseo, MI; one grandson, Corey (Sarah) Ford of Allegan, MI; one great granddaughter, Dakota (Nicholas) Nelson of Jackson, MI and one great great granddaughter, Ella Nelson; a sister, Colleen Bernath of Archbold, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marion D. Ford.
A memorial service for Bob will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Jeff Bandy officiating. Inurnment will follow at Pleasant View Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until the time of service.
