BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Hilltop 57, Montpelier 36

The Cadets outscored Montpelier 19-6 in the first quarter and rolled to the lopsided BBC win.  Tim Maneval led Hilltop with 17 points, while Quinn Smith and Ryan Brooker added 14 and 10 points respectively. Kolden Uribes led Montpelier with 12 points and Michael Blake added 11. points.

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Fayette 64, North Central 49


After falling behind 11-3 in the first quarter, Fayette continued their dominance ending the first half up 33-22. Fayette got first half help from Travis Wagner who sank five three-point shots. Wagner got two more treys in the second half to finish as the game’s leading scorer with 31 points. Clayton Pheils also scored in double figures for Fayette with 10 points.  North Central was led by Josh Bailey and Cody Tomblin with nine points apiece.

Wayne Trace 64, Bryan 55

Wayce Trace gave the Golden Bears a rough welcome to their new court with the nine-point victory.  Bryan was led by Jaden Valdera with 18 points and five rebounds. Evan Smith added 13 points.

Pettisville 70, Edon 34

The Blackbirds stayed perfect in three games with the easy BBC victory. Pettisville outshot Edon 43% to 26% from two-point range. The Blackbirds continued their balanced scoring as Caleb Rychener led with 16 points, Detric Yoder finished with 13 and Vickery Canidate along with Jacoby Graeme had 10 points apiece. Braden Miller was the only Bomber in double figures with 10 points.

BOYS JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL

North Central 36, Fayette 26

After North Central led 12-11 at the break they outscored Fayette 24-15 in the second half for the win.  North Central was led by Jack Bailey with 14 points and Levi Williams with 10 points. Fayette had no players in double figures but were led by Noah Brinegar and Porter Maginn with seven points each.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS BASKETBALL

Wauseon 37, Pettisville 7

7th grade – The Indians defense allowed just three Blackbird baskets in the win. Jonas Tester led the young Indians with 12 points. Zakkai Kaufmann had four points and Nathan Rupp three points for Pettisville.

Wauseon 44, Pettisville 39

8th grade –  Indians held a 30-20 lead at the half and held off the Blackbirds in the second half for the victory. Tyson Britsch and Connor Penrod led Wauseon with 15 and 13 points respectively. Isaac St. John led Pettisville with 16 points.
