VARSITY GOLF
Hilltop 194, Pettisville 221
Skyler Butterfield was the medalist for the Cadets with a 42 as Hilltop won the BBC match played at Ironwood in Wauseon. Jestin Maddox shot a round of 43, one behind his team mate. Other Hilltop finishers included: Jay Garrett (46), Steven Riley (58), Andrew Denton (60) and Zakk Horton (60). Leading Pettisville was Austin Horning’s round of 49. Other finishers for the Blackbirds included: Drew Canada (53), Graeme Jacoby (58), Josh Graber (61), Isaac Norr (62) and Dalton Meyers (67).
Wauseon 185, Montpelier 209
CJ Moser won medalist honors, shooting a 42, as the Indians were winners over the Locomotives at Ironwood. Trent Armstrong followed close behind carding a 43. Eric Parker broke 50 by a stroke with a 49 and Caleb Leu and Logan Blackman shot rounds of 51 and 66 respectively. Six Locomotives turned in scores led by Aaron Stoy with a 48. Other scores included: Garrett Witte (51), Brock O’Neal (53), Tyler Rupp (56), Roman Sommer (63) and Braden Saneholtz (73).
North Central 161, Fayette 170
The Eagles improved to 4-0 in the BBC and 23-13 overall with the win over Fayette at Patriot Hills. David Pinc was medalist with an impressive 2-under par 33. Other individual scores were as follows: Chace Boothman (39), Brock Zuver (41), Landon Patten (48), Allyson Hutchison (52) and Evan Livengood (61). Fayette was led by a 39 from Noah Brinegar. Other scores were: Tanner Lemley (41), Tharyn Colegrove (45), Brett Merilat (45), Travis Wagner (55), Jaryd White (55).
VARSITY VOLLEYBALL
Hilltop won the BBC match over Stryker with scores of 22-25, 25-20, 27-25, 21-25 and 15-13. Ariana Brown collected 12 kills for the Cadets on 34/39 attacks. She finished 14/18 serving with five aces for 13 points. Felicity Jackson was 19/21 serving with one ace for 14 points. She also finished 143/149 setting with 26 assists. Jewell Knapp was credited with nine points while Aubrey Wyse scored eight points while finishing 32/41 attacks with seven kills. Stryker was led by Courtney Stewart as she finished 28/38 hitting with eight kills, 14/17 serving with two aces and 15 digs. Brooklyn Whitlock contributed with 19/24 hitting with six kills, 10/12 serving with two aces and 20 digs.
Edgerton tops Fayette
The Lady Bulldogs were 27-25, 23-25, 25-13, 29-27 winners over the Eagles.
North Central is five set winners over Edon
The Eagles notched the BBC win with scores of 22-25, 25-13, 14-25, 25-9 and 21-19. Makayla Hayes led the assault finishing with 32 attempts and 13 kills. Alyssa Swank added 21 serves including three aces and five kills. Makayla Rizor had 26 passes and four digs, while Makayla Knapp led in assists with 15. The Bombers were led by Netta Halonen with nine kills, while Sara Hiller and Hannah Kaylor added eight kills apiece. Edon served up eight aces led by Alyssa Maier’s three.
Pettisville nets win over Montpelier
The Blackbirds were 25-10, 25-5, 25-15 winners in the BBC battle. Leading the 4-1 Blackbirds were: Kyra Behnfeldt 9/9 serving with one ace; Teagan Kauffman 13/14 hitting with nine kills, 10/11 serving with two aces; Jess Youse 15/17 with 12 kills, 6/6 serving; Morgan Leppelmeier 17/17 hitting with 10 kills, 12/13 serving with one ace; Carly Bontrager 10/10 serving with two aces, 61/62 setting with 29 assists, Morgan Sauder 8/8 serving and Kendal Pursel 5/5 hitting with three kills.
Patrick Henry stops Delta in NWOAL lid lifter
The Panthers were on the short end with scores of 20-25, 21-25, 22-25. Abby Freeman one kill, 10 assists and 10 digs; Destiny Hildreth one ace, nine assists and nine digs; Emily Clifton three aces, five kills, one assist, seven digs; Kinsey Finnen two aces, 10 kills, eight digs; Madi Zimmerman five digs; Mary Miller two aces, four kills, three blocks, three digs; Raelyn Hutchinson five digs were top contributors for Delta.
JUNIOR VARSITY VOLLEYBALL
Montpelier bested Pettisville 25-19 and 27-25. Pettisville (3-2, 2-1) was led by Mauricea Crouch 16/17 hitting with five kills, 30/30 setting with eight assists, Jordan Skates 10/11 hitting with six kills.
Edon defeated North Central 25-9 and 25-18.
FRESHMAN VOLLEYBALL
Montpelier was defeated by Pettisville 25-11, 25-23.
JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL
Montpelier defeated Pettisville in a seventh grade match with scores of 19-25, 26-24, 22-25. In the eighth grade match, the Locos also grabbed a win with scores of 25-15 and 25-9.
GIRLS VARSITY SOCCER
Continental 5, Wauseon 1
The Indians ran up against a tough Continental team that used four goals in the first half to capture the non-league win. Wauseon’s only goal happened at the 26:15 mark of the first half when Jaydelin Vasvery scored from outside the 18. The Indians’ Hannah Spadafore was credited with nine saves from her keeper position.
Archbold 3, Bryan 1

The Blue Streaks were victorious in their first NWOAL match of the season. Leading the way was Emie Peterson who booted all three goals. Kamryn Hostetler and Andi Peterson had assists. The Golden Bears lone goal was scored by Allye Minor.
Delta 3, Liberty Center 0
Madison Mattimore tallied all the Panthers scoring in Delta first NWOAL match of the season.
BOYS VARSITY SOCCER
Pettisville 6, Miller City 0
The Blackbirds got three goals from Connor Wyse and one apiece from Eli Grieser, Justin Rupp and Landon Roth. Pettisville took 13 shots on goal holding Miller City to only two.
VARSITY BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
At the Wayne Trace Invitational the Edgerton Bulldogs ran to a seventh-place finish in the 12-team race. Tyson Curry was Edgerton’s top finisher in 20th place with a time of 18:53. Other Bulldog runners included: Eric Gruver (35th, 19:28), Preston Sines (42nd, 19:38), Cody Jones (44th, 19:48), Jake Herman (62nd, 20:35), Josh Apt (68th, 20:47), Elliott Roth (82nd, 21:22), Connor Thiel (90th, 21:47).
VARSITY GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
The Lady Bulldogs were also seventh in the 13-team field at the Wayne Trace Invitational Bailey Bowen was the top finisher running in the 21st spot in 23:31. Other Edgerton finishers included: Rachel Schroeder (34th, 24:51), Rebecca Schroeder (35th, 24:54), Sarah Roth (44th, 25:50), Elizabeth Martin (70th, 28:57), Brandi Radabaugh (71st, 28:58), Caitlyn Gruver (73rd, 29:17), Bella Cercone (74th, 29:37), Hannah Minch (80th, 30:41).
JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL
