GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Archbold 83, Fairview 46
The Bluestreaks scored more than 20 points in each of the first three quarters to come away with a non-league triumph. After a 27-9 first quarter, the Streaks built the lea to 48-18 at the break. Kierstyn Repp topped the scoring column with 29 points. Repp, the NWOAL’s three-point queen, added nine more from the beyond the arc. Also scoring in double figures for the Streaks were Alyssa Ziegler and Morgan Miller with 13 apiece.
North Central 52, Fayette 44
A 16-6 third quarter by the North Central opened the game up after the two BBC teams battled in first half action. Alyssa Swank and Mckayla Hayes led North Central with 15 points apiece. Alexus Ball was Fayette’s leading point getter finishing with 12 points including three makes from three-point land.
Hilltop 44, Montpelier 43
The Locomotives held a seven-point lead, 33-26, heading into the fourth quarter, but the Cadets outscored Montpelier down the stretch 18-10 to edge the Locos out in the BBC match up. Felicity Jackson led the Cadets with 13 points while Abby Schaper added 10. Jackson scored six of her points in the fourth quarter as did Johnnie Roth who provided the Cadets with two three-point makes. Landri McKelvey was the leading scorer for Montpelier finishing with 16 points including four three-pointers.
Ottawa Glandorf 61, Wauseon 34
The Indians were good on only 12 of 42 shots and committed 22 turnovers in the non-league loss to the Titans. Karli Penrod scored five of her team-high seven points in the third period. Brianna Castellano and Alexis Suarez chipped in with five points apiece.
Pettisville 51, Edon 25
After taking a 16-10 lead to start the game in the first quarter, The Blackbirds put the game away in the second quarter with a 15-4 run. Morgan Leppelmeier led the Pettisville charge with 10 points while Alexa Leppelmeier and Brandi Schnitkey added nine points apiece in the win. Edon was led by a 12-point effort from Reagan Gallehue.
JUNIOR VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL
Hilltop 32, Fayette 27
Morgan Siegel and Morgan Norden finished in double figures for the Cadets with 11 and 10 points respectively in the BBC win. Fayette was led by Kimme Engels and Trinity Nichols who scored nine points apiece.
Edon 37, Pettisville 19
The Bombers won the third period 14-0 to assist them in their BBC win. Riley Bloir and Arianna Howard led Edon with 12 and 11 points respectively. Mikayla Graber and Daniella King had five points apiece for the Blackbirds.
FRESHMAN BASKETBALL
Edon 30, Pettisville 24
The difference in the game came during the second quarter when the Bombers dropped in 14 points to six for the Blackbirds to grab an 18-12 halftime lead. Each team traded baskets during second half action as the half ended 8-8. Pettisville’s Joel Flory led the Blackbirds with 10 points.
JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS BASKETBALL
Pettisville 19, Wauseon 9
7th grade – The first half was a low 5-1 affair before the Blackbirds warmed up the second half to outscore the Indians 14-8 for the win. Addison Moyer led Pettisville with 12 while Karsyn Hostetler finished with four. M. Seiler had six points for Wauseon and M. Hutchinson added two.
Montpelier 27, Stryker 6
7th grade – The Bombers had three players with two points apiece including Mallori Blevins, Jennifer Deitz and Marissa Myers.
Montpelier 45, Stryker 9
8th grade – Kinsey Myers led Stryker with six points while Caitlyn Lyons added a bucket for two and Ariane Dangler scored a foul shot for one.

Wauseon 22, Pettisville 17
8th grade – Pettisville outscored Wauseon 8-5 in the third quarter as the quarter ended with the Blackbirds holding a 12-11 lead. The Indians prevailed, however, with an 11-5 run in the fourth quarter. Leading the Blackbirds was Ellie Wixom with eight points and Kearsten Zuver with six. Raabe led Wauseon with nine points.
BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL
North Central 32, Fayette 31
7th grade – North Central sneaked by Fayette as Zach Hayes and Tucker Beres each finished in double figures with 14 and 10 points respectively.
Fayette 65, North Central 15
8th grade – Fayette rolled to the easy victory. North Central was led by Travis Schmunk’s six points and Luke Zuver who finished with four points.
Pettisville 38, Edon 26
7th grade – Pettisville broke out to a 13-6 first quarter lead and never looked back as they rolled past Edon. The 2-0 Blackbirds were led on the court by Max Leppelmeier who connected for 17 points. Josh Horning added eight. Edon was led by Alex Herr with 13 points.
Pettisville 38, Fayette 34
8th grade – Despite an 11-point fourth quarter from the Eagles, Pettisville held on for the BBC win. The Blackbirds were led by Isaac St. John with 12 points and Brayden Barrett with eight points. The Eagles’ Phillip Whiteside led his team with 12 points while Tanner Wagner also finished in double figures with 10.
