
VARSITY BASEBALL
Holgate 11-11 Hilltop 7-10
Ethan Varney and Raace Haynes each drove in two runs in game one of a double header, but it wasn’t enough as Hilltop dropped the opener 11-7. The Cadets led 7-6 going to the bottom of fifth before the Tigers put up five runs to take the lead.
Hilltop started fast in game two taking an early 6-0 lead before Holgate rallied to tie the game at 10-10 and eventually getting the walk-off win with a run in the 10th inning. Thomas McCoy paced Hilltop in the nightcap with a double and three RBIs.
Swanton 12 North Central 8 (8 innings)
A couple of North Central errors in the eighth combined with some timely hitting lifted Swanton to a five-run inning and a 12-8 win over the Eagles. Drew Smigelski had the first big hit of the inning with an RBI double as he went 2-4 on the day. Kaden Curtis had four RBIs for Swanton while Hunter Gowing and Blake Szalapski each drove in two runs. Kaiden Russell led the Eagle attack with 1-4 afternoon and three RBIs.
Paulding 11 Edon 6
Edon’s Garett Skiles connected on a three-run homer in the first inning to help Edon to a 5-0 lead, but Paulding was able to chip away and rally for an 11-6 win. Skiles finished with two hits and four RBIs in the game while Konnor Prince and Ethan Steinke each had two hits for the Bombers.
Leipsic 10-4 Edgerton 4-9
Edgerton’s Gannon Ripke recorded seven stolen bases on the day as Edgerton spilt a twin bill with Leipsic. After dropping game one 10-4, Edgerton responded to a win game two 9-4 led by Noah Landel who went 1-3 with two RBIs and Nate Swank who was 2-3 and scored two runs.
Springfield 12 Delta 6
The Panthers went on top 3-0 after one inning before Springfield scored eight runs in the second to take the lead as they went on to a 12-6 victory. Max Hoffman was 1-3 with a triple and RBI for the Delta (2-5).
Bryan 7 Maumee 5

The Golden Bears surged in front 7-1 and were able to hold on for a 7-5 win over Maumee. Keith Huard had a triple and two RBIs for Bryan, Clayton Rupp knocked in two runs, and Quinn Brown was 3-4 on the day.
Montpelier 10 Evergreen 9 (8 inn.)
Evergreen took the lead in the top of the eighth thanks to a Montpelier error, but the Locos tied the game in the bottom of the inning on a Jaxon Richmond double and then won it on an RBI double from Gavin Wurm. Richmond along with Altaffer each had two RBIs for Montpelier (7-1). Zach Laver topped Evergreen with two hits and Mason Luttrell registered two RBIs.
Lake 5 Wauseon 3
The Indians fought back after falling behind with three runs in the last two innings but came up short in a 5-3 loss to Lake. Wauseon (2-4) was limited to four hits on the day as Brady Thomas, Jude Armstrong, Easton Delgado, and Sam Krasula each singled.

VARSITY SOFTBALL
Swanton 4-13 North Central 0-3
The Swanton Lady Bulldogs improved to 6-0 on the year as they swept North Central 4-0 and then 13-3 in five innings. Brie Williams fire a complete game four hitter to get the win in the opener with Emma Operacz getting two hits to lead the Swanton offense.
The Bulldogs bats would come alive in game two as they pounded out 18 hits to get the win in five innings. Ten different players recorder hits led by Taylor Forrest with four and Trista Eitniear led Swanton in RBIs with three. Makinzy King topped the Eagles in game two by going 3-3 with one RBI.
Hilltop 14-13 Delta 4-3

The Hilltop bats were on fire as they scored 27 runs on the day to get a pair of five inning wins over Delta. In game one, Kodi Brenner and Lana Baker each tallied three hits for Hilltop while Holly Jermeay, Brenner, Sara Barnum, and Baker each had three RBIs. Sophia Burress led the Delta offense with a single, double, and one RBI.
Brenner continued her big day in game two with a homer included in her three hits and four RBIs in the game. Barnum had three RBIs in game two for Hilltop and Leanna Baker hit a three-run home run in the second inning. Kate Friess had two hits and two RBIs for Delta.
Edgerton 9-12 Montpelier 1-3
Edgerton collected 13 hits in a 9-1 win in game one and then 17 hits in a 12-3 win in game two as they swept the Lady Locos. The Bulldogs were able to get their runs in two innings in the opener as they scored four in the second and five in the fifth to put the game away.
The Bulldogs (5-6) offense continued to click in game two as Noelle Ritter was 3-3 and Rylei Moreno went 3-3 with a home run to lead the charge. After being held to four hits in the first game, Montpelier had eight hits in game two led by Cadey Hillard and Alyssa Custer with two hits and an RBI apiece.

Wauseon 8-11 Tinora 5-1
Wauseon had to rally for the win in game one and then rolled to mercy rule win in game two as they took both games of a doubleheader versus Tinora. The Rams grabbed an early 4-0 lead in game one before Wauseon fought back to tie the game 5-5 and then took the lead with a three-run sixth inning. Macee Schang, who picked up wins in both games in the circle, was 2-3 with a home run and two RBIs while Jettie Burget was 3-3 with two runs batted in.
In game two, Wauseon (8-1) scored in every inning with Alexis Haury hitting a two-run blast in the fourth inning to give the Indians an 11-1 lead. Chelsie Raabe added two hits and Kiara Stutzman had two RBIs.
Paulding 15 Edon 4 (5 innings)
Paulding built a 9-2 lead after two innings and cruised to a five inning win over the Lady Bombers. Ana Owens paced the Edon hitting by going 1-2 with two RBIs.

Bryan 4 Lima Bath 1
The Golden Bears improved to 6-1 on the season after a 4-1 win over Lima Bath. Bryan won two of the three singles matches with Jay Fortner getting a 6-1, 6-0 win in 1st Singles and Carter Brown was a 6-1, 6-0 winner in 2nd Singles. In doubles play, Nathan Hess/Craig Jackson earned a 6-1, 6-2 win in 1st Doubles and Aiden Andrews/Micah McCashen won in 2nd Doubles 6-3, 6-2.
