State Patrol Investigating Fatal Plane Crash In Southeastern Ohio

(PRESS RELEASE) MARIETTA – The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Marietta Post is investigating a fatal plane crash that was reported on Tuesday, October 18 at 7:15 a.m.

The crash occurred at the Pioneer Buick GMC dealership parking lot located at 1000 Pike Street, Marietta in Washington County.

The preliminary investigation shows the plane was a 1974 Beechcraft King Air E90. The pilot and a second occupant sustained fatal injuries.

There were no reported injuries to individuals who were on the ground. There was reported damage to multiple vehicles and buildings at the dealership.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
