Stryker Local Board Of Education Convenes To A Light Agenda

Members of the Stryker Local Board of Education convened in regular session on the evening of February 15.

The financial reports for January showed a general fund cash balance of $2,716,858.46, with total revenues of $440,796.06, and total expenses of $357,654.32.

The Board approved the following donations:
•Beamont Heating & Cooling – donation of $60.00 for Student of the Month
•Ryan Patterson – donation of $20.00 for the Baseball fund
•Archbold Container Corp. – donation of $350.00 toward Post Prom
•Hasch Body Shop, Inc- donation of $30.00 toward Post Prom
•Chris & Nikki DeGroff- donation of $60.00 for Student of the Month
•Rodger Short- donation of $60.00 for the FFA Program

The Board approved the establishment of fund 300-950J for Stryker Football, the Purpose & Budget statement for the Football fund, the Amended Certificate of Estimated Resources, and the Amendment to the Appropriations, as presented.

As part of his report, Stryker Principal, David Schultz, reported the following upcoming events:
•Feb 25 – Thursday Full School Report card due from ODE
•March 1 – Tuesday JH/HS Choir Show at 7:30 on the stage
•March 3 – Family Night for Grades PreK – 6
•March 9 – Mobile Dentist at the school
•March 10 – 8th Grade Act out Assembly @12:30 @Hilltop
•March 11 – End of 3rd 9 weeks
•March 15th – NHS induction @7:00 in the Commons
•March 17th – Spring Sports photos @3:00 in HS gym
•March 18th – Grade Cards released


The Board approved Christopher Creamer as a Varsity Track volunteer, and Matt Arnos as a Classified and Transportation Driver Substitute for the 2015-16 school year, contingent upon required BCI/FBI background check and all required documents. The Board approved the 2016-17 School Year Calendar Update, as presented.
