Stryker Overpowers North Central

(January 15th, 2015) – PIONEER: The Panthers of Stryker made a stop in Pioneer, taking on the Eagles of North Central on Thursday. The visitors from Stryker were not kind to their hosts, however.

The Panthers took down North Central 74-30.

From start to finish, Stryker controlled the game. Outscoring North Central 26-10 in the first quarter, the Panthers maintained a 10 point lead even after losing the second quarter 14-8. At the half, Stryker still laid claim to a 34-24 advantage.

Then, in the third period, the Panthers exploded for 22 points. With the Eagles only managing 12 points in the quarter, Stryker all of a sudden held a 20 point lead, 56-36. The fourth quarter saw the Panther boys close out the game, ending the contest on an 18-4 run.

Parker Ruffer had an excellent day for the Panthers. The senior produced 27 points for the Stryker effort. Teammate and fellow senior Tanner Clingaman added 15 points. Brady Shock put up anothr 13 points for the Panthers, while Austin Gresier scored 8 points as well.


In a valinat effort, North Central senior Jordan Bailey created 15 points for his team. Another senior, Brady Zuver, made 14 points in the contest. Jordan Reeves, a third senior, put up 7 points in the loss also.
