ROTARY … Ron Short, Stryker Rotary Member, told the club of the upcoming Black Swamp Benefit. Ron has chaired this event for the last nine years, and credits the success to the many hard working people who donate their abilities to this very worthy cause. The Black Swamp Benefit has been held for the last twelve years at the Fulton County Fair Grounds. The weekend event will be held this year on June 14th & 15th with the proceeds supporting Sunshine Children’s Home and Mennonite Central Committee. The last several years’ additional events have been added to provide a setting that the young and young at heart find enjoyable. Oozeball is a unique version of volleyball played in a mud pit and many teams will compete to win this tournament. The 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday morning. There are activities for all ages and plenty of food to insure nobody goes away hungry. The new event this year is a concert held Friday evening called BSB Jam Christian Music Concert. Ron extended an invitation to all to come and enjoy themselves. Ron Short, on the right, is pictured with Stryker Rotary President Rev. Jim Ernst.
