Terry Rummel spoke to the Stryker Rotary Club at their regular meeting on Tuesday evening. Terry is Williams County newly elected County Commissioner that is scheduled to take office in 2017. Terry told the club he started in business at the age of 14 when he assisted with a family hog operation. Several years later he started working at Gorny Winzeler’s assisting with repair of calculators. The repair business extended to other office equipment including copy machines. His responsibilities grew and for several years he was the service manager with several employees reporting to him. His next venture was to begin a small business in VCR repair, and that grew into office equipment repair when Gorny’s was no longer in business in Bryan. His business “Current Office Solutions” currently has 38 employees. He is at a place with his business where he can step back and allow the younger people take over the operation. Terry has experience as a Township Trustee for several years and enjoyed this work very much, but decided to step back from it so he could take on the responsibilities of County Commissioner. He is looking forward to the challenges that will come with the new position. Terry Rummel, pictured on the left, spoke as a guest of Stryker Rotary Member Ruth Wieland.
