The Superior Township Trustees met in a regular session on Tuesday, July 21, at the township building at 3:30 p.m.

Trustees present were Jacob Borton, Mike Trausch and Dan Gillen, along with Fiscal Officer Vanessa Shepard. Maintenance Supervisor Cody Boyd was absent.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited, followed by the approval of meeting minutes from the July 7 meeting.

Gillen reported discovering a hole in the middle of the road on County Road M near the fairgrounds bridge after inspecting the township roads. He said it will be repaired on Wednesday, July 22.

In other related action, Borton hadn’t heard back from John Waterston of the Williams County Engineer’s office regarding County Road H, where they were going to do paving work.

He added the township would probably receive a bill either from the county or Gerken Paving of Napoleon.

Trustees discussed the possibility of doing crack and seal work on a drive at Riverside Cemetery. Gillen noticed there is a lot of grass growing on it and it’s getting bad, which needs crack and seal work done.

Borton suggested hiring G&T Contracting of Stryker for the project. He noted they are currently doing work for the county and doing a fantastic job, especially grinding out the cracks with wire brushes to clean them out.

He is hoping they can do it later this fall. Trustees then made a motion to approve the bills for July. The meeting adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
