Susan Lee (Sager) Myers, 52, of rural Florida, Ohio passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Born on September 5, 1972 in Toledo, Ohio she was the daughter of the late James Sager and Janet (Fronk) Sager who survives in Deshler, Ohio.
Susan was raised in a loving home with two older brothers, Steve and John. Susan attended St. Louis Catholic School, Custar and graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1991.
She furthered her education at Owens Community College and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Toledo in Early Childhood Education.
For over 26 years, Susan was a dedicated early childhood education instructor. She was a beloved teacher to her students and passed along lessons for the classroom and for life. In 2019 she received the “Wall of Fame” and “Distinguished Service Award” at Four County Career Center.
She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Deshler. On May 2, 1997 she married Brad Myers, and he survives.
She is also survived by her son, Anthony Sager; daughter, Alexis Myers; mother, Janet Sager; brother, Steven (Teresa) Sager; nieces, Stevie Sager (Ryan Penny); Brooke (Trevor) Marsha; sisters-in-law, Kelly (Greg) Boulton; Kim (Randy) Wiemken and countless family members and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James; brother, John and her in-laws, Gary and Sandy Myers.
Susan’s life touched so many people. She was a fun-loving friend who treated you with respect and a smile that made your time together full of goodness and an impression that you wanted a lasting relationship.
To her parents, she was a constant companion and was there every time they needed a little help. To her children, she was the greatest mother and their best friend. She put her children first and filled their life with laughter, comfort and unconditional love.
To have known Susan was an opportunity to witness kindness, selflessness and a genuine care for others. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and by all the lives she touched.
Per Susan’s wishes, funeral services will be private, and she will be laid to rest at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family suggests memorials be given to Deshler Edwin Wood Memorial Library or any mental health service of the donor’s choice.
