Those in grades 6-12 are invited to fix your broken heart with frosting at swanton library. Wear anything but red or pink and come to the library from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, February 17, for an afternoon celebrating all the things Valentine’s Day isn’t. We’ll have a shooting range, funny anti-romance videos, broken heart cookies to fix with various kinds of frosting, and a piñata heart filled with candy that will have to be broken! Everyone is welcome, single or not. Registration is requested; go online, call, or stop by the library. This event is FREE!

It’s all about candy this month, so on Saturday, February 20 from 10:30 am to 11:15 am, get ready to have a tasty time! We’ll read sweet stories, play some gooey games, make a candy craft, and of course do plenty of taste-testing.

On Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoons, Swanton Public Library offers the opportunity for your baby, toddler, or preschooler to have fun and learn at the same time through weekly classes held at the library. The fourth six-week session begins Tuesday, March 1 and continues through Wednesday, April 6. This session children can share books, crafts, and activities about the jungle with the theme “JUNGLE JAM.” Registration is not required for these programs.

Story time program times and days are as follows:
•Once Upon a Story, for ages 3 to 5, meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am in the children’s program room.
•Tales for Tots, for babies and toddlers ages 6 months through 2 years old with an attending adult, meets on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am in the library community room.
•Once Upon a Story, for ages 1 to 5 (2 and under with attending adult), meets on Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 pm in the children’s program room.
