Swanton Student Charged With Inducing Panic

March 6, 2018No Comments1 Min Read

A Swanton High School student has been charged by the Lucas County’s Sheriff’s Office with inducing panic following an incident on Friday, March 2.

It is alleged that, during the afternoon bus ride, the student made a threat to carry out an act against the school. This threat was reported to school administration, who contacted the authorities.

Statements made by School Superintendent Chris Lake remind students that all threats will be investigated by law enforcement and that charges will be filed against students who make such threats.

Lake has also shared his appreciation the students and parents who reported the threat.
