On August 1, Swanton Valley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center will host its annual free petting zoo and family fun fair from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place rain or shine (barring severe weather) at 401 W. Airport Highway in Swanton.
In addition to the petting zoo, the fair will include games, prizes, pony rides, and bounce houses. Food trucks will be on-site for those who wish to purchase refreshments. The entire community is invited.
“It is always our pleasure to celebrate together with the community,” said Swanton Valley Administrator Jackie Riggs, pointing out that the center holds a number of events throughout the year, including Easter Bunny visits, winter clothing drives, winter holiday light displays, and Halloween trunk or treat.
“Not only do our staff members and residents enjoy these events,” said Riggs, “but we take seriously our commitment to be a good community neighbor.”
