The New T22 Farm held a First Responder appreciation week this week. T22 Farms is located at 21242 County Road T just outside of Fayette.

T22 has many different activities for families with children. Activities include a petting zoo, straw maze, pumpkin bowling, bounce horse races, tricycle track, corn pit, hayrides and more.

T22 started off last year just as a roadside stand. But owners Katey and Wes Schaffner wanted to do something more. “It has always been a childhood dream of mine to have something like this. I have always enjoyed other farms displays and such,” said Katey.

The attraction did face some challenges in the past year including not being able to grow pumpkins in their field this past summer. But they were able to push through it all and were even able to build the attraction on the original Schaffner family farm grounds.

On Saturday, October 2nd, T22 had Port-A-Pit chicken come out and cook chicken for everyone that came to visit.

All proceeds from the chicken dinners were given to the Fayette Fire Department who also came out for the day. Firefighters and EMT’s met with kids and let them use hoses to spray a fake house with fire painted on the windows. Any First Responders were offered 50% off admission all week for Hero’s Week.

T22 is open Friday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A gift shop is also located at T22 with all kinds of home decor items and more.

T22 will be open until October 31st so stop on in to enjoy the season before it is over.
