Bob Hausch spoke to the Stryker Rotary about his work with the Thrift Store in Bryan. Bob, who currently serves on the Board of the Thrift Store as Treasurer, started volunteering 13 years ago. He thought he could contribute by helping lift boxes. He enjoyed his work there and met many of the workers and customers. He also worked as a bagger at the store after the person who was bagging was no longer able. Bob told the club that the money raised by the organization is used to help support the community.

Each year the store works to provide scholarships to children to all of the schools in Williams County. They also support “Shop with a Cop” and other local needs. The store is sponsored by Church Women United and serves customers from the area as well as people who travel a distance to see what they have to offer. Bob spoke as a guest of Stryker Rotarian Judy Keller.
