VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL

Montpelier 42, Monclova Christian 31 – This non-league contest was over by the half as the Locomotives ended their regular season with a 14-8 record.  The Locos got 13 points from Maddie Richmond including six points from beyond the arc. Congratulations to seniors Hannah Blake, Haley Suffel, Maddie Richmond, Audrey Pirtle and Madison Summers.

Wauseon 46, Bryan 41 – (No game stats received)

Hilltop 47, Edon 36 – After the game started with an 8-8 first quarter, the Cadets took control in the third quarter with a 30-19 score.  Hilltop (8-14) had a trio in double figures led by Bailey Funkhouser with 14 while Karissa Crisenbery and Allie Schmitt added 13.  The Bombers (3-19) were led by Hannah Kaylor’s 13 points that came during the first three quarters. Seniors playing in their final regular season game for Edon included: Kaitlyn Sonneberger, Breanna Davis and Hilltop’s Layni Allport, Allie Schmitt, Madeleine Routhier, Bailey Funkhouser and Karissa Crisenbery.

Stryker 55, North Central 20 – The Panthers moved to 17-4 with their victory over the 2-20 Eagles. Haley Doehrmann led the assault with 19 points. The Panthers had things well in hand by the intermission with a 30-16 lead. Congratulations goes to the team’s seniors. Stryker’s Brittany Breier, Megan Graber and Audra Rupp played in their final regular season game and to North Central’s seniors Cady VanDeVoorde, Tristen Tomblin, Aleea Lonabarger and Heather McConnaughey for giving t their all during a difficult season.


Fayette 61, Pettisville 39 – The Eagles finished the regular season with a 21-1 overall record and a perfect 10-0 in the BBC with their win over the Blackbirds. Fayette played error free ball committing just five turnovers and outrebounded Pettisviile 32-21. Kaela Seiler closed out her regular season career leading Fayette with a triple-double. The senior poured in 21 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 10 assists. Right behind Seiler’s performance was 20 points from Taylor Griffiths. Alexis Fruchey had another steady performance with 16 points. Pettisville (13-9, 6-4) was led by Morgan Leppelmeier’s 16 points and Anya Kauffman’s 12 points. The Eagles will graduate Kaela Seiler, Rylee Ruger, Hannah Machaeck and Alexis Fruchey from their championship squad. Pettisville seniors playing in their final regular season game included: Jaelyn Rufenacht, Marissa Beck, Ines Coronado, Andrea Aeschliman, Kate Kauffman and Rebekah Steele.


JV GIRLS BASKETBALL

Hilltop 25, Edon 18 – (No game stats received)

Pettisville 51, Fayette 24 – The young Blackbirds finished 9-1 on the season with their win. Elizabeth Beck ledthe charge with 15 points.



FRESHMAN BOYS BASKETBALL

Archbold 54, Bryan 40 – (No game stats received)
