Tickets For Fountain City Festival’s Presentation Of “Newsies” Go On Sale Beginning July 1st

June 28, 2024No Comments1 Min Read

Fountain City Festival has announced that tickets for this summer’s production of Disney’s “Newsies” will begin on July 1.

Tickets will be available at the Bryan Public Library at the lower level checkout desk and online at fcf.theater.

The show is an extravaganza of song and dance with a stellar cast of over 50 talented individuals from northwest Ohio. It is being presented by Fountain City Festival in collaboration with Art of Movement Dance Studio.

“Newsies” is an exciting show inspired by the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899 in New York City, it’s a tale of how a rag-tag group of newsboys—called “Newsies”—take on the rich and powerful newspaper publishers who have changed to rules to make it harder for the boys to make a buck.

With the help of a young female reporter, the Newsies’s strike becomes big news for all of New York City. Rousing songs and high-energy choreography make this a show for all ages.

Dates for “Newsies” are July 18, 19, and 20 at 7:30 p.m. and July 21 at 2 p.m.; all performances are held at the Bryan Arts and Education Center, 325 W. High St., Bryan.
