SWANTON – Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Ann M. Geer has been selected as the 2024 Trooper of the Year at the Swanton Highway Patrol Post.

The selection of Trooper Geer, 53, is in recognition of outstanding service during 2024. Fellow troopers, her supervisors, and dispatchers for the Swanton Post, chose Trooper Geer based on her leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Trooper Geer is now in contention for the District and State Trooper of the Year Award to be announced at a later date.

Trooper Geer joined the Highway Patrol in 2004 and has served at the Toledo Post, Bowling Green Post, Findlay District Criminal Patrol, and the Swanton Highway Patrol Post.

Originally from Hicksville Ohio and a graduate of Hicksville High School, Trooper Geer graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in Legal Assisting Technologies.
