Twenty-Two Indicted By Williams County Grand Jury

The Williams County Grand Jury convened on February 17 and returned indictments against twenty-two individuals who face a total of forty-two charges.

Mary E. Bates-Robinson, 43, of Montpelier was indicted for Felonious Assault, a second-degree felony, and Domestic Violence, a third-degree felony. Bates-Robinson is accused of causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a household or family member by means of the use of a deadly weapon on or about February 5.

Dezarae N. Bender, 26, of Bryan was indicted on one charge of Theft from a Person in a Protected Class, a fourth-degree felony, and one charge of Theft, a fifth-degree felony. Bender is accused of the theft of $5750 from a member of a protected class between the approximate dates of September 1, 2020 and November 4, 2020.

Matthew J. Brown, 32, of Clairsville, Ohio was indicted for Failure to Appear, a fourth-degree felony. Brown is accused of failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a previous felony charge.


Crystal M. Conforti, 32, of Bryan was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Conforti is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about July 31, 2020.

Brandon J.M. Cousino, 26, of Montpelier was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Cousino is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about September 30, 2020.

Jeffrey S. Dietsch, 33, of Defiance was indicted for Vandalism, a fifth-degree felony. Dietsch is accused of causing damage to a sprinkler head owned by The Correction Center of Northwest Ohio on or about January 26.


Caysee J. Edinger, 24, of Bryan was indicted on a total of five counts including one count of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, a third-degree felony, three counts of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, each a fifth-degree felony, and one count of Having Weapons While Under Disability, a third-degree felony. Authorities allege that, on or about August 11, 2020, Edinger possessed or used methamphetamine, fentanyl, and opiates as well as prepared methamphetamine for sale or distribution. Edinger is additionally charged with carrying a firearm during the commission of the offense at which time Endinger was drug dependent or a chronic alcoholic.

Sharon K. Grond, 56, of Defiance was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Grond is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about December 21, 2020.

Braden R. Hahn, 22, of Bryan was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Hahn is accused of possessing or using fentanyl on or about October 26, 2020.

Sarah E. Jackson, 40, was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Jackson is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about August 11, 2020.


Antwon L. Jones, 37, of Fort Wayne was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a third-degree felony, and Having Weapons while under Disability, also a third-degree felony. Authorities allege that on or about February 4 that Jones was possessed or used methamphetamine while carrying a firearm after having been previously convicted of a Drug Trafficking Crime in Indiana.

Calvin L. Jones, 39, of Fort Wayne was indicted for Illegal Conveyance of Prohibited Items onto the Grounds of a Detention Facility, a third-degree felony, and Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Jones is accused of conveying suboxone onto the grounds of The Correction Center of Northwest Ohio on or about January 8 as well as possessing or using synthetic cannabinoid on or about October 19, 2020.

Michael J. Koch, 39, of Alvordton was indicted on two counts of Having Weapons while under Disability, each a third-degree felony. Koch is accused of carrying a firearm on or about February 4, after having been previously convicted of a felony Domestic Violence Case and while being drug dependent or a chronic alcoholic.

Joseph R. Moser, 34, of Edgerton was indicted for Receiving Stolen Property, a fifth-degree felony. Moser is accused of receiving or disposing of an Ohio License Plate having reasonable cause to believe that the license plate had been acquired through a theft offense.

Edmond L. Piper, 54, of Stryker was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Piper is accused of using or possessing methamphetamine on or about December 19, 2020.

Damien J. Pursel, 26, of West Unity was indicted on a total of six counts including one count of Burglary, a second-degree felony; one count of Burglary, a third-degree felony; and four counts of Grand Theft, each a third-degree felony. Pursel is accused of breaking into private property located in Madison Township and stealing four firearms on or about February 8.

Constance E. Roberts, 24, of Montpelier was incited on a total of three counts including two counts of Obstructing Justice, each a fifth-degree felony, and one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, also a fifth-degree felony. Roberts is accused of hindering the discovery, apprehension, prosecution, conviction or punishment of Amanda Lewis and Edward Ramirez as well as using or possessing methamphetamine on or about January 10.

Storm L. Roberts, 29, of Deshler was indicted for Illegal Conveyance of Prohibited Items onto the Grounds of a Detention Facility, a third-degree felony. Roberts is accused of conveying fentanyl onto the grounds of The Correction Center of Northwest Ohio on or about October 19, 2020.

Vanessa F. Rogers, 40, of Bryan was indicted for Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Rogers is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about March 6, 2020.

Heather A. Ruck, 28, of Bryan was indicted on a total of four counts including one count of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, a third-degree felony, and three counts of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, each a fifth-degree felony. Ruck is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine, fentanyl, and opiates as well as preparing methamphetamine for sale or distribution on or about August 11, 2020.

Brody A. Temple, 23, of Bryan was indicted on one charge of Theft from a Person in a Protected Class, a fourth-degree felony, and one charge of Theft, a fifth-degree felony. Temple is accused of the theft of $5750 from a member of a protected class between the approximate dates of September 1, 2020 and November 4, 2020.

Elijah S.W. Utley, 38, of Montpelier was indicted for harassment with a Bodily Substance, a third-degree felony. Utley is accused of expelling a bodily fluid onto a Williams County Sherriff’s Deputy on or about November 30, 2020.

It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation and that all criminal defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
