On January 5, 2020, the Williams County Sheriff’s Office received information through the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office that Joshua Meyer and Jessica Ripke would be in Williams County in the Pulaski area.

It was advised that Mr. Meyer had several active warrants for his arrest with cautions for possession of firearms. Jessica Ripke also had an active warrant out of Henry County. It was also advised Mr. Meyer would be driving a red 2016 Chevy Cruze that was reported stolen out of Hicksville, Ohio.

The vehicle was located outside of Stryker, Ohio. A traffic stop was initiated on CR-18 south of CR-H50 but the vehicle fled. The vehicle continued to West Unity where it turned eastbound onto US-20A.

It continued eastbound into Fulton County where a Fulton County Deputy was able to successfully deploy road spikes. The pursuit ended on US-20A east of Wauseon, Ohio where Mr. Meyer and Ms. Ripke were taken into custody by deputies.

Mr. Meyer was charged with Felony Fleeing and Eluding and Felony Receiving Stolen Property, and Ms. Ripke was charged with Felony Receiving Stolen Property. Additional charges pending.

Assisting the Williams County Sheriff’s Office in the pursuit were the Stryker Police Department, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Wauseon Police Department, West Unity Police Department, and the Williams County Central Communications Agency.

This incident remains under investigation.
