Two Four County Students Place In Skills Competition

Two students of the Four County Career Center’s Skills USA Chapter recently placed first in state level competition in Columbus which earned them the right to advance to national competition in Kansas City, Missouri, June 22-29. Competing will be (LEFT) Jared Frisco (Patrick Henry) competing in Internet Working; and (CENTER) Kitana Phouthavanh (Montpelier) competing in Nail Care. Participants are challenged to complete a project in their area of career and technical training within a specified time period while being scored by a panel of judges.

Skills USA is a national organization for career and technical students training for careers in trade, industrial, technical and health related occupations. Four County Career Center Skills USA Advisors are Kim Dunbar and Bill Parsley.
